Recommendation-I — Songs which possibly no one can hate…..

I often hear from my friends that I’m 19s kid born in 20s. I don’t know why but this is something I’m extremely proud of. Ah, I understand , this is probably due to my music taste and to say this is something which I can only share with my grandpa. We would vibe and sing songs by Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Da , Mohd.Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Geeta Dutt, Mukesh Kumar and a lot more to mention . I would end up making compliments like ‘Believe me, Dilip Kumar is the most handsome guy till date.’ Haha, I wish I were born in that era. Lately, I’ve been into English songs too and I realized it isn’t just bollywood where the phrase ‘Old is gold’ would fit. It goes the same for everything. This is something which can make me blabber for hours. Here the list begins.

1.) Seasons in the sun :- It became a worldwide hit in 1974 for Canadian singer Terry Jacks and became a Christmas number one in the UK in 1999 for Westlife. This song potrays a young man’s farewell to his loved ones.

2.) Imagine:- It is a song by English rock musician John Lennon from his 1971 album of the same name. Its lyrics encourage listeners to imagine a world at peace without the barriers of borders or the divisions of religion and nationality and to consider the possibility that the whole of humanity would live unattached to material possessions.

3.) The End of the World:- It is a pop song written by composer Arthur Kent and lyricist Sylvia Dee, who often worked as a team. They wrote the song for American singer Skeeter Davis. It is a sad song about the aftermath of a romantic breakup.

4.) The Nights:- Is a song by Swedish DJ and record producer Avicii. “He said: “One day you’ll leave this world behind
So live a life you will remember”
My father told me when I was just a child
“These are the nights that never die”
My father told me.” These are the lines which hit hard till today.

5.) Wavin’ Flag:- It is a song by Somali-Canadian artist K’naan from his album Troubadour. The song was originally written for Somalia and aspirations of its people for freedom. “When I get older I will be stronger
They’ll call me freedom just like a wavin’ flag.” Can I just say, these are my favourite lines and I just can’t get over this.

Would love to see you add more…… I hope you enjoyed it ….

To say, End of the world is my forever favorite and the best heart break song . It wouldn’t be wrong to say that it has all the emotions…..
John Lennon is a pure legend in terms of music . I didn’t find a single song of his which I could possibly dislike..

Vintage music is the best and it deserves all the love and acknowledgement and I personally believe people loving old songs have the best taste in music ever πŸ˜…πŸ˜€

    1. Haaha, I’m happy I found someone like me. You don’t need to change for someone else until you really want to. I too get that a lot but I take it as a compliment . Well, I make statements like oh ,you keep that to yourself, you may keep on following the trend but remember trend follows me ……..

Wavin’ Flag is a total classic to date and I still can’t stay for months without listening to it once in a while. ‘The Nights’ is such an incredible song!!! I especially love how the song goes normal but then it increases its beat and then the chorus comes – I start dancing on the chorus, it is very amazing! This is such an awesome list, Aanchal!πŸ’›
