Poetry VI – I want to be free

Often, I scream, I got no one. Yeah,no one . No one to share my joy , no one to feel my pain. I know that’s a total lie. Haahh, I know there are people who would listen to me without single complain but what if they end up reckoning and believing something which is not true. Maybe, they are a good listener but that doesn’t make them a good empath . So, I choose to draw lines between me and them . Here ,I try my best to put those thoughts in words, I hope you enjoy the read…

Tell me the problem, I’ll find you a solution.
Ever want to speak, come to me.
No, the problem isn’t that I don’t have anyone to listen to.
The problem is that I just don’t want to speak to them.
The problem isn’t that I have no friends .
The problem is that I’ve created a boundary between me and them.
It’s like being on a journey with no destination.

I neither want to live, nor I want to die.
I neither want to be alone, nor I need anyone’s company.
I can neither accept anyone’s love , nor can I let anyone hate me.
I can neither forget those sweet memories that I treasure,
Nor can I get rid of that scary fear of not succeeding in the future.
It’s really getting harder now.
How long will I say , it’s just difficult not impossible.
How long ? Just , how long?

I have got two choices.
Either to love myself and lose everyone.
Or to lose myself and love everyone else.
But the fact is that both aren’t possible.
I can neither lose myself nor can I love myself.

Ooo, neither I want to win nor I want to lose.
I just want to be free.
I want to be free from the so-called definition of right and wrong.
I want to be free from the boundaries that I and they have created for me.
I want to be free by accepting and overcoming my flaws and fears…..

I often hear my mum saying this quote from ‘Gita’ “ΰ€•ΰ€Ύΰ€²ΰ€ƒ ΰ€Έΰ€°ΰ₯ΰ€΅ΰ€‚ ΰ€΅ΰ€Ώΰ€°ΰ₯‹ΰ€ͺΰ€―ΰ€€ΰ€Ώ” (time heals everything) . C’mon, how can I deny this? So here, I say, it’s just difficult but not impossible. People are there for you when you need them , atleast there’s someone. All you need to do is to recognise them and wipe out the boundaries which you’ve created between you and them . You need to free yourself from the thoughts which have been holding you back. Here, I go again, it’s just difficult but not impossible…...

Life my dear is not about this or that, right or wrong, good or bad…. Life is…. Life simply is…. I wish one day we can talk πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—

    1. Thank you sir for your opinions. You are right, life was never meant to be right or wrong , good or bad , fair or unfair , it was always meant to live. It was never meant to be framed in defination, it was always meant to live and help others to live. Things were never predifined and unlike science terminology it never needs defination. If the things like life was pre-defined then many of our problems have been easily solved and we just had to walk on a particular route.

And for the saying time heals everything- it can never until we want to. It really doesn’t heal anything but acceptance does. While knowing this all, we still keep on comforting ourselves and living in a lie but there’s still a hope ahead….

We never know what’s next . Maybe, a miracle or maybe a disaster…….
I too would love to have a beautiful conversation…… Thanks a lot πŸ€—β£οΈ

  7. I see the poem in two phases: the starting one where the girl is full with commotion, depressed and is thinking about what she wants to do and the other where she starts to acknowledge what she needs, rather than want, to do. She now understands what she is doing wrong.
Most of my generation lads think they are better-off without the society. They, as you noted, have created boundaries for them. Wisdom is necessary and it comes when you start accepting your and others’ flaws and perceive it as normal being.
Ask them if they’ll leave a gold mine just because there is dirt everywhere. πŸ˜‰

    1. Wow, your way of perceiving the things is quite amazing . Yes, the poem is in two phases and you got it right.
Leaving the thing the way it is , isn’t the right solution. The idea of getting dirty while cleaning the mess won’t solve anything . If society is wrong then, we too are wrong because we are the one who created it and we must be the one and only incharge of it. Complaining doesn’t solve anything.

Freedom is for what every human yearns for internally … unfortunately many just don’t voice…the society has created its own jail to lock the imagination and creativity inside……likewise it’s not sympathy what people may look for…not a shoulder to cry….just the freedom to be themselves…to be free to imagine and be creative…some find their voice and break the gates..and walk free..
    Beautiful expression Aanchal.

    1. Wow! Firstly thanks a lot for your beautiful opinions…. I like reading people’s thought about something particular. You are right, freedom is something that we all yearn for internally…. It isn’t just external cage, it is more about the cage in our mind and limitations we’ve set for us…. I agree with every word of yours.
      Thanks a lot…..

On June 1st. you gave the World such heartfelt words, and I liked them, so I registered this like… but… when it came time to peruse the comments so as to add additional fertilizer to my Soul, ashok’s rendering of ‘Time Heals Nothing’ and your mother’s mantra: ‘Time heals everything,’ caused me to contemplate both… it is now 4:08 am in the morning of June 17th. and I believe I have my answer… they are both right…

Time itself did not give me the answer… but time gave me the opportunity to process the question, and thus come up with a solution…

    Now I need to thank you… your mum… ashok… The Gita… and time…

    2. A very thanks to you……
I too went on a deep thought after the words of Ashok sir as both the statements were quite conflicting…. I thought a lot and was quite unjustified with my statement for a while, then I came up with the solution after few days…
Universe and spirituality teaches us one thing that , everything we give , comes back to us, maybe in different forms but it always returns to us.
Now, Time doesn’t heal the wound but only if we have time , then only medicine has the power to heal the wound…… To sum up, we both were right with our words, but sorry I just failed to express it all through my blog. So at the end I was satisfied with my words…
A whole lot thanks to you for your such beautiful interpretation…… You managed to explain it so nicely and it’s your and Ashok sir’s word which triggered me to think a little more deeper ….
Thanks again and a very good morning to you…. It’s 3:26 evening in India ….. Have a beautiful day ❀️
